N.Y.October 28: chapter members joined an organ crawl in Bronxville
that made vitist to four instruments. They met at Concordia College
in Bronxville and boarded a bus to Christ Church, where hosts Christopher
Wells and Vaughn Mauren demonstrated the church's 2009 Casavant.
At St. Joseph’s Church, host John Strybos, assisted by oboist
Josh Hall, demonstrated the 1988 Moller which has voicing and additions
by Steuart Goodwin (2001). Then it was on to the Reformed Church,
where host Mark Peterson demonstrated the 1957 Schantz (tonal revisions
by Mann & Trupiano and console by Harris Precision Products).
Members then returned to Concordia College for a hymn festival conducted
by Jason Thoms, with Deb Reiss accompanying on the Jaeckel organ.
A reception and light refreshments followed.
